Dainfern College sent their swimming and cricket teams to KZN in October 2016. There were 58 boys & girls accompanied by 8 staff members. They played fixtures against Umhlali Prep School, Crawford North Coast, Winston Park Primary School and Thomas More College. During their tour they had some free time to relax at uShaka Marine World and the beach.
Lambrook School from the United Kingdom once again sent their prep cricket team on a tour to South Africa in October 2016. They started their tour in Cape Town where they played matches against Rhenish Primary School, Reddam House Preparatory School and Western Province Preparatory School. Sightseeing included Table Mountain, Robben Island and a Cape Town City Tour amongst others. They then travelled to KwaZulu- Natal where they played matches against Pelham Senior Primary School, Clifton Prep School and Grantleigh School. Visits included uShaka Marine World and a cruise on Lake St. Lucia. They ended off their tour at Mpila Camp in the Imfolozi Game Reserve where they enjoyed 2 game drives. The tour consisted of 14 boys and 3 staff.
Newland House School travelled to South Africa again on their annual cricket tour. They travelled with 10 boys and 3 staff. They began their tour in Nelspruit where they played their first match against Curro Nelspruit School. They then spent two nights in the World Renowned Kruger National Park at Shishangeni Private Lodge which is situated close to the Crocodile River. They were very lucky to be able to see all of the Big Five. They played further fixtures against Penryn Prep School in Nelpsruit and Uplands Prep School in White River. Their last fixture in that area was Riverview Pre School in Malelane. They ended their tour in Pretoria with two nights at Cornwall Hill College.
Stanford Lake College, based in Limpopo, sent 6 students and 2 staff members on a conference tour to Europe. Their tour began in Paris where they spent 2 nights. In Paris they enjoyed a city tour including visits to the Louvre Museum and the Eiffel Tower as well as a full day at Disneyland Paris. The group then headed to Lauterbrunnen in Switzerland where they spent 2 nights. They took a train to Jungfraujoch for the day where they enjoyed amazing views from the "Top of Europe." The group then departed to Aiglon College where they participated in the Round Square Conference for 5 nights before returning home.
Trinity School, Croydon from the United Kingdom sent their Under 15 A, Under 14 A and Under 14 B cricket teams on a tour to South Africa in October 2016. The group comprised of 39 boys and 6 staff members. The teams played 6 matches each while they travel through Johannesburg and Cape Town. Some of the schools they played included St David's College, St Benedict's College and Rondebosch Boys' High School. They ended their tour at Pilanesberg Nature Reserve. Other sightseeing highlights included: Gold Reef City, Langa Township Tour, Cape Point, Boulders Beach, Hout Bay, Seal Island, Newlands Stadium, Robben Island and Table Mountain.
Westbourne House from the United Kingdom sent their cricket team on a tour to South Africa in October 2016. They visited Gauteng and KwaZulu-Natal, where they played fixtures against local schools. Some of the schools which they played against were Cornwall Hill College, Treverton Prep School, Felixton Junior School, Grantleigh Prep School and Howick Prep School. Sightseeing included the Howick Falls, Nelson Mandela Capture Site, Gateway's Wavehouse, the Sharks Board and uShaka Marine World. The group enjoyed a Zulu cultural experience at Shakaland and a stay at the Nambiti Game Reserve with game drives.
Whitgift School sent their 1st XI cricket team on an exciting tour to South Africa. The group departed London’s Heathrow Airport on the 22nd October for Johannesburg where they spent 3 nights. They had 2 fixtures while in Johannesburg. The group then travelled to Pilanesberg Game Reserve where they spent 1 night at the Bakubung camp and also enjoyed a boma dinner under the Africa skies. The tour then proceeded to Cape Town where the group spent 7 nights playing 5 matches against local schools. While in Cape Town, they visited Table Mountain, Robben Island, Newlands Cricket Stadium, Cape Point, Hout Bay, Boulders Beach and Camps Bay. The group departed for London on the 02nd November after a wonderful tour.
