CLIFTON PREP SCHOOL CRICKET TOUR TO THE UNITED KINGDOM

Clifton Preparatory School from Durban sent their U13 Cricket Team on a tour to England. The group played matches against many prestigious schools such as Kings College, Abberly Hall, Clifton School, Eagle House, St Johns Beaumont and Caldicott School whilst travelling through England. They also enjoyed a short break in London where they experienced some of London's most famous sights!

CORNWALL HILL PREP SCHOOL CRICKET TOUR TO THE UK

Cornwall Hill Prep School from Pretoria sent their 1st XI cricket team on a tour to England in June 2012. The group comprised of 15 students and 3 teachers, who enjoyed a 2 week tour which included 8 fixtures. They played cricket matches against various local schools in England and were hosted by UK families as well. The group also visited London where they  experienced a theatrical show at London’s West End, took a ride on the London Eye, and visited Madame Tussauds, Lords and Twickenham Stadiums.

edgemead high schoool soccer tour to KZN

Edgemead High School sent their girls soccer team to KZN on a 5 day tour. The girls stayed at the ATKV Natalia Beach Resort. They played a total of 4 fixtures against the following schools - Amanzimtoti High, Danville Park Girls High, Northlands Girls high school and Carter High school. During their tour they hosted a coaching clinic for an underprivileged school in the Natal Midlands. Some of their sightseeing activities included a visit to Ushaka Marine World's Aquarium and Water park and an Extreme PE experience at Gateway Theatre of shopping.

Grace College Business Tour to Gauteng

Grace College in Hilton sent 18 of their students on a Business Tour to Gauteng in June/July 2012. The focus of their tour was to learn more about running a business and to instil in young minds that there is still potential in South Africa. They visited businesses such as the SABC, ABI, Snackworks and SPAR amongst others. They were given a tour of the business as well as a talk on how they started and have grown etc. Sightseeing while in Gauteng included visits to Newtown and Soweto, the Apartheid Museum and Gold Reef City.

HERSCHEL GIRLS SCHOOL HISTORY & GEOGRAPHY TOUR TO RUSSIA & EUROPE

Herschel Girls School from Cape Town embarked on a Cultural Tour to Russia and East Europe in June/July 2012. During this 12 day tour they visited places such as Moscow, St. Petersburg, Berlin, Prague and Munich amongst others. Some of the highlights included city tours, visits to famous cathedrals and museums and chances to see part of famous history such as the remains of the Berlin Wall. There was a total of 28 girls and 2 staff.

HILTON COLLEGE SCIENCE TOUR TO THE USA

Hilton College from Hilton sent their science students on a tour of the USA in June 2012. The group travelled to New York, Boston, Washington and Orlando where they visited many museums, science centers and tourist attractions. One of the main highlights of the tour was their visit to Disneyland.

Hilton College Tennis Tour to the UK & Paris

The Hilton College Tennis Team made their way to England and Paris to play against some exciting schools and clubs. Starting in the UK they played matches against prestigious schools such as Wellington College, Eton College, Abingdon School, Trinity School, Dean Close School and Tonbridge School. They also stayed in the vibrant and exciting city of London for two nights and had the opportunity to see a West End show. The group had their own self drive transport around England which allowed them to see so much more of the lovely quaint English countryside before they boarded on the infamous Eurostar to Paris. They played matches against a few clubs and experienced some sightseeing before they ended off their trip with a full day at Disneyland Paris, no doubt an exhilerating end to a wonderful and memorable tour.

JEPPE HIGH SCHOOL FOR BOYS CRICKET TOUR TO THE UK

Jeppe High School for Boys will be traveling to the UK on a cricket tour in June and July and will be traveling with 14 boys and 3 staff. They will play matches against Bradfield College, Dauntsey's School, Lord Wandsworth, Sutton Valence School and Whitgift School. They will also have the opportunity to visit the popular London Eye, Lord's Cricket Stadium and a local football stadium. They will end their tour in London where they will stay at a Hotel for two nights.

KEARSNEY COLLEGE CRICKET TOUR TO THE UK

Kearsney College sent their 1st XI cricket team, consisting of 14 boys and 2 staff members on a tour to the United Kingdom in June / July 2012.  The boys played 5 fixtures against schools such as The King’s School Canterbury, King's School Wimbledon, Charterhouse, Magdalen College and Millfield School before heading to Felsted School where they participated in the festival and played a further 3 matches! They then headed off to London where they stayed for 3 nights and enjoyed sightseeing such as a visit to Lords, a tour of the Chelsea Football Club Stadium as well as a visit to the London Eye before flying back home!

Kearsney College History Tour to Germany & France

 

Kearsney College, Botha’s Hill, Durban in KwaZulu Natal embarked on yet another History tour – Making History!! This tour took the group to Germany and France. The tour started off in Berlin visiting Checkpoint Charlie, DDR Museum and the Jewish Museum. Then it was off to Potsdam to visit Ceclienhof Palace. The group then travelled from Berlin to Nuremberg for a city tour and a visit to Dokumentation Centre Party Rally Grounds then to Munich on a city tour. The group then had the most eventful travel by train to Paris. In Paris they visited the Les Invalides Museum and the Resitance Museum. The group then enjoyed a day at Disneyland Paris. While in France they also visited the Versailles Palace, Normandy Battle Museum, Deville Wood Memorial and Museum and the Vimy Memorial Park. The group then departed Paris for their flight to Joburg and then back to Durban. The boys and staff had an amazing and exciting tour!!!  


UPLANDS COLLEGE TENNIS TOUR TO THE UK & NETHERLANDS

Uplands College sent a boys and girls team to the UK and Amsterdam on a tennis tour in June. Their tour commenced in London, where they had two days to watch the renowned Wimbledon Championship. Thereafter they continued with their tour and did some sightseeing at Bath. They played four matches against local schools while in the UK, before heading to Amsterdam for their last two matches. While in Amsterdam, the group visited the iconic windmill village of Zaanse Schans and The Hauge. The group had a fantastic time!!!
