St Katherine's & The Ridge School Music Tour To KZN
These 2 Johannesburg based schools travelled to Kwa-Zulu Natal on the 22 May 2012 on a music tour. The tour consisted of 150 students and 17 staff members. They toured a number of schools in Durban and its surrounds, such as Highbury School, St Mary's, Umhlanga College, DGC and Clifton. They also performed at MOYO at the uShaka Marine World! For the duration of the tour in Durban, they were accommodated at The Blue Waters Hotel. They then headed off to Shakaland, which is in Zululand, for a nights stay where they discovered the tribal heart of Africa and its way of life. Cultural activities and partaking in Zulu dancing were organised for them. On the final day of the tour, 26 May 2012, they departed Shakaland and headed to the airport for their return flight to Johannesburg after a real African experience in Kwa-Zulu Natal.
The Wykeham Collegiate Tour To Cape Town
The Wykeham Collegiate set of on their exciting tour to Cape Town on the 24 May 2012. The tour included sightseeing to all the places of interest in the Mother City, Cape Town. The town of Stellenbosch as well as the University were also visited by the school along with the V&A Waterfront, Robben Island, Table Mountain, Cape Point and Seal Island. They departed Cape Town on the 28 May 2012 to head back to Durban.
