Abingdon School Rugby Tour to Namibia & Johannesburg

Abingdon School from Oxfordshire in the UK are sending their 1st and 2nd rugby teams on a tour to Namibia and Johannesburg in July 2013. Their 15 day tour will begin in Namibia where they will play matches in Swakopmund as well as in Walvis Bay. Sightseeing in Namibia includes dune boarding, quad biking as well as a boat cruise on the lagoon. They will then travel to Johannesburg for another match and some free time at Gold Reef City before ending off their tour with a 2 night stay at the Pilansberg Game Reserve. There will be 44 students and 5 staff members.

King's College, Wimbledon Rugby Tour to South Africa

King's College, Wimbledon from the United Kingdom will be sending their 1st XV rugby team on a tour to South Africa in July 2013. The team is comprised of 26 players and 3 staff members. The group will have 2 training sessions at the High Performance Centre in Pretoria before playing 2 matches against schools in Pretoria and Johannesburg. They will thereafter travel to Sun City and the Pilanesberg Game Reserve for some recreation. The tour will end in Cape Town where the boys will play another 2 matches against local schools and 1 match against a development team. In Cape Town, the team will also visit Soweto Touch Assocation where they will partake in an interactive training and skills development session with the local township children. Other sightseeing includes the Union Buildings, Loftus Versfeld, Robben Island, Table Mountain and Newlands Stadium.

Somerset College Prep Hockey & Netball Tour to KZN

The U13A and B hockey and netball teams from Somerset College Prep School, Somerset West, will be landing in Durban on the 19 July this year to enjoy a full week of hockey and netball matches against Howick Prep, St John’s DSG, Thomas More, St Mary’s, and Umhlali Prep.  The teams will be hosted with families each night, which is always a highlight of any touring side!  Somerset will also be involved in a Hockey Festival at St Anne’s in Hilton for 2 days while being accommodated at Umgeni Valley in Howick in the evenings. Amongst their busy hockey and netball schedule, they will enjoy a game drive in Tala Private Game Reserve, a show and tour of PheZulu Cultural Village, Valley of 1000 Hills, a visit to the Natal Sharks Board and they will spend an exciting morning at uShaka Marine World.  They will end their tour at the famous Gateway Theatre of Shopping centre before flying home on the 26th July!

St. Stithian's Prep Cricket Tour to England & Ireland

St. Stithian's Boys' Prep School will be sending their U12A cricket team on a tour to England and Ireland in July 2013. The team is comprised of 14 boys and 4 staff members. Bundu Bashers Travel have been commissioned to arrange the flights, ground transport, accommodation and sightseeing for this tour, while the school arranges their own fixtures. The group will have the opportunity to visit Lord's Cricket Ground as well spend a day sightseeing in Bath.

Tonbridge School Rugby Tour to South Africa

Tonbridge School from the UK, in conjunction with Bundu Bashers Travel and Living With The Lions, will be traveling to South Africa in July this year with their 1st XV side. Their tour begins in Johannesburg where they will stay at the High Performance Centre and enjoy a couple of training sessions and play a match against Bryanton High School. En route to The Kruger National Park they will enjoy a fixture against Uplands College. On their return to Johannesburg they will play Trinityhouse School and then head to Cape Town where fixtures against Bishops and a local township side have been arranged. Sights the group will enjoy in Gauteng will include game drives in Kruger National Park and a visit to the Apartheid Museum and while in Cape Town they will visit Table Mountain, Robben Island and enjoy a tour of a local township. This exciting tour gives the Tonbridge students a fantastic opportunity to see parts of beautiful South Africa and experience different cultures!

Westminster Under School Music tour to South Africa

Westminster Under School, from London, will be sending a group of boys and 7 staff on a music tour to South Africa in July. The group arrives in Johannesburg on the 10 July and will stay at The Ridge School for 3 nights, where they will also have a performance. While in Johannesburg, the group will visit Gold Reef City, the Apartheid Museum and Johannesburg Zoo. Thereafter, they travel on coach to Pilannesberg National Park, where they will be staying for 2 nights at the Bakubung Bush Lodge. They will also get the opportunity to spend the day at Sun City. The group then flies to Cape Town where they will be staying at the Breakwater Lodge for 2 nights. While in Cape Town, they will visit Table Mountain, Robben Island, The Two Oceans Aquarium and the V&A Waterfront. The students will also have the opportunity to perform at a local school as well as being hosted by the school for 1 night. Following an adventurous tour, the group will fly back to London on the 18 July.
